A note on the black hole remnant
Analyzing the quantum tunneling probability of a Schwarzschild black hole with a negative log-area correction to Bekenstein-Hawking entropy, I argue that this correction may be closely related to a black hole remnant. The value for the minimal black hole mass is also discussed.
متن کاملSurveillance for Dengue and Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever1
Dengue and dengue hemorrhagic fever are emerging as major public health problems in most tropical countries. Effective prevention and control programs will depend on improved surveillance designed to provide early warning of dengue epidemics. This article outlines a reasonable approach to dengue surveillance of this kind. Virologic surveillance should be considered the most important element in...
متن کاملA Note on Thermodynamics of Black Holes in Lovelock Gravity
The Lovelock gravity consists of the dimensionally extended Euler densities. The geometry and horizon structure of black hole solutions could be quite complicated in this gravity, however, we find that some thermodynamic quantities of the black holes like the mass, Hawking temperature and entropy, have simple forms expressed in terms of horizon radius. The case with black hole horizon being a R...
متن کاملA note on the entropy of charged multi - black - holes
Majumdar Papapetrou multi black hole solutions of the Einstein Maxwell equations are considered in four and higher dimensions. The Euclidean action with boundary conditions appropriate to the canonical ensemble is shown to lead to zero entropy.
متن کاملA Note on the GEMS of Charged Black Holes
This paper is a supplement of our earlier work [1]. We map the vector potential of charged black holes into GEMS and find that its effect on the thermal spectrum is the same as that on the black hole side, i.e., it will induce a chemical potential in the thermal spectrum which is the same as that in the charged black holes.
